Cytograft Tissue Engineering is developing a state-of-the-art technology to produce tissue-engineered products (Nature Med. 12, 361 (2006)). The Company is growing rapidly and is currently running multiple clinical trials to evaluate its product Lifeline, a completely biological and autologous tissue engineered vascular graft (N. Eng. J. Med. 357 (14), 1451 (2007)). These new vessels can be used as bypass grafts in patients who do not have suitable autologous vein/artery for bypass (heart or leg surgery, or as arteriovenous shunts for hemodialysis). Cytograft, which was recently recognized as one of the top 50 innovators by Scientific American, is a young company that provides a dynamic, fun and flexible work environment to promote outstanding achievements. Tissue and Cell Culture Associate I

Job Description:

The successful candidate will join a team focused on producing cell lines from patient biopsies for clinical use in an FDA regulated clean room manufacturing facility. This position has a pivotal role in the production process and a critical impact on the success of the patient’s treatment. Many aspects of the work can be repetitive but require close attention to details. Because of the significant training involved, a long-term commitment is required. Additional responsibilities will be assigned according to skills and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Recently graduated from a biology/health-related program with a B.S. and a GPA > 3.0
  • Highly organized and self-motivated personality.
  • Good social skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Excellent dexterity.
  • Rigorous record keeping.
  • Attention to details even for repetitive tasks.
  • Absolute honesty and integrity.
  • Ability to accurately mix solutions and perform laboratory calculations (will be tested).
  • Some experience working in a laboratory environment.
